The study of anatomy and physiology of normal deglutition; nature and characteristics of swallowing disorders; methods of assessment and management of dysphagia in adults and children; and consideration of medical conditions such as aspiration, pneumonia, tracheostomy, and other complicating factors associated with dysphagia.
