EDSE 5570/6570 - Consultation and Collaboration (3)

This course is an advanced course which will explore various consultative and collaborative models of teaching. Strategies that enhance the interactions between the regular education teacher, the special education consultant teacher, the resource teacher, community supports and services are the focus. Topics include communication skills team teaching, methods for inclusion/mainstreaming, parent education/home instruction programs, and research-validated approaches. Prerequisite(s): EDSE 5530/6530  and EDSE 5540/6540  or consent of instructor. Field experiences are required.
