AGSC 6350 - Topics in Agricultural Sciences (3) A required course for Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Agricultural Sciences. Individuals Study and review scientific literature on a specific need area with faculty mentor’s guidance, resulting in substantial new information publishable in a peer reviewed journal. The intent of this course is to broaden students understanding of the various sectors of the agricultural industry, their respective functions and role in addressing challenges facing the industry. Students will analyze problems in a broader context in various need areas of agriculture and apply (synthesize) knowledge gained from reviewing current scientific literature to address these problems or issues. The course will reflect students’ ability to critically analyze problems in agriculture and synthesize knowledge, and communicate such knowledge using their oral and writing skills.
