AGSC 6810 - Sensors for Precision Agriculture 3


This course provides a comprehensive overview of the use of sensors in precision agriculture, a rapidly evolving field that integrates advanced technologies to enhance agricultural and environmental productivity and sustainability. Students will learn about different types of sensors used for soil, crop, water, for environmental monitoring along with skills on, how to interpret sensor data, and the role of sensor networks in improving decision-making for efficient resource management. The course will focus on practical applications, such as irrigation management, nutrient monitoring, and disease detection, with an emphasis on data-driven approaches for optimizing farm operations.
