ENGL 4100 - History of the English Language (3)

(Formerly ENG 410). A study of the development of the English language from the beginning to modern times. Some attention is given to phonetics and to the elementary principles of linguistics. Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of ENGL 1010 and ENGL 1020 with “C” or better.
