HIST 3400 - African American Public History and Memory (3) This course delves into the rich narrative of African American history through the lens of public history and memory. It examines how this history has been presented, interpreted, and remembered in public spaces, museums, memorials, and popular culture. The course also explores the role of memory, commemoration, and contested narratives in shaping our understanding of the African American past. Prerequisite(s): (3 hrs) of Sophomore History Courses
