PSYC 5530 - Psychometrics (3) Basic psychometric concepts to prepare the student for subsequent evaluation instruments. Origin and logic of testing, criteria for judging tests, standardization, reliability, and validity and principles of test development and construction. Examination of principles, strategies, and methodologies of interviewing and report writing of measurement of individual and group differences. Special emphasis is placed upon interpreting these concepts in light of diversity issues. Prerequisite(s): PSYC 5040 ; Admission to graduate program in Psychology or Professional School Counseling.
