ENGL 3900 - Languages and Linguistics (3) (Formerly ENG 390). A course to prepare students for the study and teaching of a language by introducing them to the scientific study of language. Comparisons between English and various other languages lay a foundation for a career as a teacher of English as a second language or a teacher of a foreign language. Same as MFLA 3900. Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of ENGL 1010 and ENGL 1020 with “C” or better.
