NURS 5320 - Adult Health Nursing I (4) This four credit course focuses on promoting and maintaining the wellness of adults through theory and research-based interventions and management. Families are considered when assessing adults and their health status. Management of commonly encountered health deviations in the chronically ill adult population, protocols for treatment decisions, referrals and application of advanced nursing practice skills are covered in the course. Management of primary, secondary, and tertiary health care needs of adults is emphasized. Synthesis and evaluation of various educational theoretical concepts, research findings, and clinical protocols are taught. Prerequisite(s): NURS 5230 , and NURS 5250 . Four hours of independent study per week.
