PHTH 7450 - Clinical Education III (6) This course provides a hands on experience for the student in selected clinical environments. Students will have an opportunity to practice the clinical skills learned during the professional component. The student will be assigned to a clinical facility for ten weeks. The student will be supervised by a licensed physical therapist. The student’s clinical performance will be evaluated by the Clinical Instructor using the American Physical Therapy Association’s Clinical Performance Instrument. The student will be expected to cooperate and collaborate with their Clinical Instructor(s) in fulfilling the requirements of the clinical education experience. The student will evaluate their performance in the clinical setting and compare this evaluation with that of the Clinical Instructor. Prerequisite(s): Completion of first two years of study in the School of Physical Therapy.
