Freshmen Academic Advisement in the Office of Student Success
The Office of Student Success (OSS) is TSU’s dedicated freshman advisement unit, operating within the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success. Academic Advisors in the OSS play a crucial role in the onboarding and matriculating of incoming, continuing, readmitted, and transfer freshmen. Advisors manage caseloads specific to students’ majors and conduct advisement through both face-to-face and virtual sessions, offered individually and in groups. These multiple opportunities for connection enable advisors to effectively support residential, commuter, and online students.
