General Statement

The Hospitality & Tourism Management concentration is specifically designed to prepare both full-time and part-time business students for management careers in the hospitality, and related sectors. The degree program provides the opportunity for students to build their entrepreneurial, managerial, functional, operational, and analytical capabilities to maximize their success in Hospitality Management positions under a dynamic local, national, and global competitive environment.

Our program provides the skills needed to succeed in the exciting hospitality industry in positions such as Hotel Management, Restaurant Management, Country Club Management, Convention/Event Planning, Corporate Travel Management, and Catering Directors.

Requirements for the BBA Degree - 120 Credit Hours Total


General Education and Business Core:


General Education and Business Core are common for all students majoring in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Information Systems, and Economics/Finance. 

General Education Requirements - 36 Credit Hours


Elective Requirements - 6 Credit Hours


  • Business Elective (3)
  • Business or Non-Business Elective (3)

Note:


* MGMT 4500  may not be taken until all other business lower division and upper division core courses have been satisfactorily completed and should be taken during the final semester of enrollment.
