NURS 5160 - Primary Care in Pediatric Clients (3) This course focuses on advanced practice nursing and health care management of children and adolescents. The course applies the principles of health promotion, disease prevention, and assessment and management of common health problems in children and adolescents. Course content includes developmental, physiological, pathological, and psychosocial changes relative to health maintenance, acute and chronic illnesses, and developmental transitions within the family context. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the MSN/FNP program and completion of NURS 5000 , NURS 5040 , NURS 5100 , NURS 5111 , NURS 5210 , and NURS 5280 with a grade of B or better. Co-requisite(s): NURS 5164
