SOCI 4610 - Family Violence (3)

This course covers violence within familial and intimate relationships and the consequences of these forms of violence. This course will examine the ways that interpersonal violence is used to commit physical, emotional, sexual, social, and financial abuse within a close social relationship. Patterns of behavior, cultural norms, as well as the impact of race, gender, class, sexuality, age, and ability status will be addressed. Prerequisite(s): SOCI 2010
