PSYC 3530 - Psychology of Death and Dying 3 CURRENT:
PSYC 3530 The Psychology of Death and Dying (3). A study of such topics as the dying person, attitudes toward death, children and death, bereavement, and funeral rites. Emphasis will be placed on individual experience. Prerequisite: PSYC 2010
PROPOSED: PSYC 3530 Psychology of Death and Traumatic Events (3). A survey of theories, research, and cultural traditions regarding dying, bereavement, and potentially traumatic events. Course activities focus on global/cultural diversity and decision-making. Prerequisite: PSYC 2010 or PSYC 2015
