ENGL 3640 - Literature of Black Life in America (3)

(Formerly ENG 364). A study of black literature from its inception in America to current times. Particular emphasis is placed on biography, poetry, the essay, and short fiction. Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of ENGL 1010 and ENGL 1020 with “C” or better.
