ENGL 4920 - Advanced Poetry Writing (3)

(Formerly ENG 492). An advanced workshop in poetry writing, focusing on student work. The course covers such elements of poetry as rhythm, lineation, image-making, and figurative language. Students learn about these elements through the process of writing their own poems, studying poems by professionals, and delivering oral reports. Pre or Corequisite(s): Successful completion of ENGL 1010 and ENGL 1020 with “C” or better.
