General Statement
The Department of Business Information Systems, in support of the mission of the University and the College, prepares students to have the skills, competencies, and knowledge to manage the integration of technology with business processes and provides a range of career opportunities in information technology and business management roles in today’s modern business world. In addition, the department’s General Business area allows students to study within a broader business degree program, and the Management concentration to focus on specific aspects of management, such as leadership, conflict resolution, and strategic decision-making. In summary, the department offers four concentration areas: Business Data Analytics, Information Systems, Management, and General Business.
