Invest in your career development with advanced skills and competencies in a field that is in demand.  Courses are offered fully online, to meet your needs as working adults. The certificate has flexible start dates with courses that are offered online. Typically, students start the certificate in the spring semester. The certificate can be earned as a stand-alone credential or in combination with other master’s degrees or PhD degrees at TSU.

Applicants are eligible for admission to the Graduate Certificate program with an undergraduate GPA of 2.5 and higher from an accredited college or university. This certificate can be used to bridge admission to the MPH Program when it is completed with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Students admitted to the certificate program who wish to apply their certificate credits toward the completion of the MPH degree must also apply for the MPH degree, meet all MPH admissions standards, and be admitted.

Advisement is required for certificate students before registration every semester to facilitate completion. Students who want to pursue this certificate along with either another master’s degree or a PhD should seek advisement before choosing electives to minimize chances of having to take an extra course while satisfying each set of requirements.
