NURS 5300 - Psychiatric Nursing II (4) This four credit course continues the content begun in the first psychiatric nursing course. The purpose of this course is to provide the graduate nursing student an in depth study of psychiatric/mental health nursing care management of adults and their families within the framework of advanced practice nursing. The focus is on selected acute and chronic complex psychiatric/mental health care problems of a culturally diverse population. Prerequisite(s): NURS 5230 , NURS 5250 , and NURS 5290 . Four hours of independent study per week.
